FOP 31 and Your Support
Dear Friends and Business Leaders of Fort Lauderdale,
The Fort Lauderdale Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #31 takes pride in being a highly respected local law enforcement organization. The past year has once again produced growth in our professional membership, which now totals over 1,000 active and retired Fort Lauderdale Police Officers. Our fight for quality law enforcement and a safe Fort Lauderdale began in 1962. Our growth and progress are made possible by the generous participation of many concerned citizens and business leaders such as yourself.
The Fort Lauderdale Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 31 is the only State recognized organization that represents your Fort Lauderdale police officers. Do not be deceived by other police organizations that make this claim, it simply isn’t true!
The Fort Lauderdale Fraternal Order of Police is a respected voice in the Florida Legislature and within our local community. Advocating for tougher laws and legislative reforms increases our effectiveness locally. We are continually working on local, county, and state levels to obtain stronger law enforcement legislation.
Your choice today to support our organization will make it possible to continue our many charitable community projects, such as Federal Little League, YMCA of Broward County, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of Broward County, Stephen R. Booher Memorial, Alzheimer’s Association, Kids in Distress, American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, Dillard High School Athletics, Cardinal Gibbons High School Athletics, Sunland Park Little League, Women in Distress, South Florida Special Olympics, and the Leukemia Society, to name just a few. We are particularly proud of our community based youth activities and athletic programs. Proceeds are also used to benefit our local law enforcement officers in times of need.
The Fort Lauderdale FOP #31, has teamed up with J&G of South Florida, Inc. to assist us with this endeavor. J&G of South Florida is a local company committed to the success of the Fort Lauderdale FOP, and is the only company authorized to conduct our fundraising campaigns. ALL contributions are made payable to the Fort Lauderdale FOP #31. Your donations are picked up in person by retired Fort Lauderdale Police Officers or authorized representatives of FOP Lodge 31. Your donations stay in your community to benefit local charities and assist your local Fort Lauderdale Police Officers.
Though we are a non-profit organization, contributions to FOP 31 are not tax deductible. I trust however, you’ll agree the many challenges we face are worthy of your support. Contributions from concerned citizens, such as you, are CRUCIAL in our fight for superior law enforcement, a safe, protected Fort Lauderdale, and supporting our continued commitment to charitable community projects. A copy of the official registration and financial information may be obtained from the Division of Consumer Services by calling toll-free within the State, at 1-800-HELP-FLA. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 954-527-2606.
On behalf of our entire Fort Lauderdale Police membership, I thank you for your caring and continued support.
With warmest regards,
Mike Tucker, President
