ARTICLE 26 - MILITARY LEAVE

Section 1.0          Employees covered by this Agreement who are commissioned reserve and reserve enlisted personnel in the United States Military, Naval Service, Coast Guard, or members of the Florida State National Guard shall be entitled to leave of absence without loss of pay in accordance with the provisions of  Florida Statutes, Section 115.07. When the entire unit to which the employee is assigned is ordered to active duty beyond seventeen (17) consecutive work days in any one (1) calendar year, the City agrees to pay such leave up to a maximum of ten (10) additional workdays.

 

Section 1.1          The employee shall be required to submit an order or statement from the appropriate military commander as evidence of any such duty.  Such an order or statement must accompany the formal request for Military Leave which should be made as soon as possible but at least two (2) weeks prior to the date such leave is desired.
